Hello,

Is someone can tell me if it's normal ou it's a "bug" with the 2107 MECM with automatic update client ?

I noticed that the update start at the end of the business hours (5h-22h) but not during the services window (00h-06h)
The ccmsetup.log says "Ccmsetup is launched for performing upgrade at the service window" but the install start at 22h not 00h

Is there a difference between the preproduction update and the production update ?

Thanks

There is no scheduled task involved for pre-production client upgrades.

Also note that both business hours and maintenance windows are in fact service windows as both are subclasses of CCM_ServiceWindow.

Can you post the full log snippet you called out in your original post (including the file name information at the end)?

    Hi, @Sebastien Doisy
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum.

A service window is for a site server. A maintenance window is for a client.
So the client upgrade has nothing to do with service window, it is related to business hours and maintenance window, if you do not configure any maintenance window, the client upgrade will start at the end of business hours.
Client upgrades honor any Configuration Manager maintenance windows you've configured:

And there is no scheduled task created for this update, I don't know if it's normal but I didn't find any post on this behavior

I addressed this above: a scheduled task is not used to upgrade pre-prod clients.

Scheduler.log on a pre-prod client may have some details on what's going here.
