Hello,

I am having an issue with my windows pointer.
I have 2 screens attached to my laptop with the laptop screen off.

One of the monitors is a DELL P2217 and the other is Dell P2213.

The pointer on P2217 is the normal one : The Arrow.
where as the pointer on the P2213 is a the hand.

While I move my cursor across the monitors, the pointer also automatically changes.

This is a problem especially when I am working with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel as the pointer still remains a hand and it is difficult to work with.

Does anyone have a clue why is this happening ?

Thanks,
Pierre

    Hi there,

Some workarounds I found are as below

    1. Uncheck the "Enable pointer shadow" box under the "Pointers" tab in "Mouse Properties".
    2. Take the mouse pointer to the top-right corner of the monitor and make a few clock-wise circles.
    3. Change from the Windows Aero mouse to some of the "normal" versions
    4. Updating the mouse drivers & Display drivers.

    Hello All,

Seems to work fine after I applied the latest patches and hotfixes.
Not sure if any of them were meant to solve this issue, but it is working normally now.

    Thanks,
    Pierre
