Synchronisation issue of teams messages or direct messages

Hello, I have an issue with teams and especially with the direct message part or teams channel. Since I have two companies registered on teams (one is my main and I am invited on the other one), I do not receive proprerly the messages sent by colleagues on the two organization. I need to refresh by changing the orgabiztion at each time or disconnect/reconnect my account in order to receive the messages.

Do you have any solution ?

Hi Adak.
Since your question is more related to Microsoft Teams, I have removed the tag "office-exchange-server-connectivity" which is used for Exchange on-premises server questions and added the correct tag "office-teams-windows-itpro" to it.

And like I said, you may use your own organization account on Teams for desktop and use the guest account on Teams for web to receive messages at the same time. It would be better than switching the account type:)

Hi @Adak ,

I could complately understand your feeling about this feature. But actually this is how it works, when you become a guest in another O365 organization, your guest account gets created in their tenant. So you need to switch over to their tenant in Teams in order to work there.

As a workaround, you could open a browser and use Teams for web to login to your guest account.

Howerver, I am afraid there is a misunderstanding with my post. I am aware that I need to switch my organization to work and answer to the people who come frome this same organization, my issue is about the fact that even when I switch on the organization, I can't see the messages they have send. And when I am currenty on the Teams organization, (mine or the one where i am invited), I don't receive the messages send from my collleagues directly.

Hello @Adak ,

Thank you for the clearfications and sorry that I didn't understand your issue correctly.

Do you mean the messages are not coming for both your account and your guest account? Can you check the Teams for web?
Are these messages from some private 1v1 chats or the team > channel?
Also can you send messages to the other users?

If the Teams for web is OK, then you may try to update or re-install the Teams desktop client.

Yes there is a problem of synchronization from both of them. I have tried on my phone and it seems to work. The issue comes probably from my Teams desktop... But I have installed it on my pc recently (about 1 week ago).
I can send messages to the other users without any problems.
The messages are mainy from 1v1 chats but I do not receive a lot of messages on team channels.

I will try with the team for web, i haven't think about it !

Thank you for getting back to me, after some days of practice, it seems to be a bit better but I've faced yesterday to the same problem with de desktop application. It works better with the Teams for web but it is a bit constraining in comparison of the teams desktop...

I do not know what to do about this issue.
