after successful installation of SharePoint home site integrating with teams ( post running powershell script), and when we click on that viva icon what exactly we can expect from viva pertaining to SharePoint site, because what I see one link pointed with SharePoint on home site is not showing when it comes to teams, Please find attached screenshots. and also search box , can we expect this when we click on viva for teams intranet. Please help me on this issue.

You mean you are trying to know from the first screenshot I shared "SharePoint" link (highlighted one) you are asking? I am not sure how that SharePoint link came over there, other team members did it, how to figure out how it came there?
and the way we put that SharePoint link on the home page , is it blocking it in the teams to see?

on the other hand I gave the home site URL when script was prompting it, it is same URL showing from teams desktop application when we click on the viva icon.

Hi @sns , thanks for the reply. This should be irrelevant to the set url. I would suggest you to ask other team members how this link is set up and whether it involves some customization. We can’t do similar tests just by looking at the picture. :)

Hi Elsie Lu,

You can see down where SharePoint URL is pointing.
and if you see it from teams there is only MS teams branding and no SharePoint branding , is it by design?
inn MS teams it is saying teams, in browser it is saying SharePoint. I am not clear on this...
so it is expected behavior SharePoint not showing in the teams?
and what about edit option in teams? and search option in teams?

In Teams and SPO, there may be some style differences, however the core functions are the same. These are the default behaviors.

Thank you for the response. I have not received screenshots u attached, I am not able to open.
However, so no issues with not seeing those options from teams in our environment?
so I need to convey to my management that it is default behavior? it is expected not to see links on teams?

Hi @sns ,

Yes, this is in Teams after all, the outer layer is framed by Teams, and some settings in SharePoint will not be fully displayed. However, the core functions (search and editing as I mentioned) are the same.
