Hi!
The WSUS server (Windows Server 2019) is installed. Group policies are configured to automatically install updates daily at 3:00. The policy applies to a group of computers.
I don't see the downloaded update being installed automatically.
So, the KB5006669 update was downloaded yesterday. This update approved automatically.
On the Windows Server 2016 server, I see that the update was downloaded from the WSUS server yesterday. The Server Manager snap-in displays this update, its installation can be started manually. However, it was not installed automatically at 3:00.
I ask for help in solving the problem.

In attachment140531-gr-nb-test-sok.txt is the wsus log from the time the update was downloaded on the client server:

    Hello,

    Thanks for your feedback.

It seems that you have enabled the Install during automatic maintenance option in Confirgure Automatic Updates Group policy:

Please try to reomve this option first and confirm whether the issue will be resolved or not. Hope the above will be helpful.

    Have a nice weekend :)

    Regards,
    Rita

    Hello,

Thanks for your posting on this forum.

In order to help me research further, please provide the screenshots of the below registry value:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU

In fact, the actual installation time don't depend on the WSUS server. In my opinion, you will be notified to install the updates manually if the clients aren't available to install the updates at the schedule installation time. As we all know, the computers have to restart after installing the important. So the actual installation time will be delay if the computer is in use and unable to install the important updates.

    Regards,
    Rita
