Hello ,

We are looking to use the Device Name Template in Intune and so far it is working, however, it is changing names of the already enrolled devices.

How can we avoid this? We just want new devices that get enrolled to get this name change and now the currently enrolled ones.

@Milan Mladenovic Thanks for posting in our Q&A.

For this issue, please make sure that you assign the Apple enrollment profile with name template change to the target new devices, not all devices.

    Hope it will help.

If you change the device name in the DEP profile in Intune, it will apply to all devices that are assigned to that DEP profile. You need to create a seperate profile in order to assign it to specific devices.
