I've been trying to figure out how to resend a Cumulative updates to a client on a Device collection but haven't figure it out yet. A few clients ran out of disk space and needing to have the system drive to be expanded. The rest of the collections got it's Cumulative updates and rebooted on it's normal maintenance window.

Note:
When I deployed the Cumulative Updates for this month, I set the User Experience to Hide in Software Center and all notifications.

I have expanded the system drive on the few Windows Server 2016's. Now I need to install the Cumulative updates. I've tried restarting the SMS service, going into the Configuration Manger Properties and running Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle, Software Updates Scan Cycle & Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle. As well as the Software Center for the heck of it.

Without redeploying this month's cumulative updates to the whole collection again, is it possible to some how retrieve those updates?

If the patches are still applicable then they will get picked in the next scan cycle. Check the logs as to why the updates are not installing. Check updatesdeployment, servicewindow

After I've expanded the virtual disk, I ran Machine Policy Retrieval & Evaluation Cycle, Software Updates Scan Cycle & Software Updates Deployment Evaluation Cycle on the Configuration Manger Properties. I then checked the logs waited.... Didn't really see anything (didn't really wait long enough - went back to check after). But, checked the Config Mgr console and checked the Deployment Status for the collection deployed. Ran the 'Run Summarization' / Refresh and that status for the few Windows servers changed to 'Waiting for maintenance window before installing'. I guess this means I'll have to wait till the following Maintenance Window for the 2021-10 Cumulative Updates to install, right? Is there no other options to manually kick-off the install without waiting for the next maintenance window?

You can modify the deployment settings to ignore service window. But be mindful, that the updates will then install immediately after the next policy sync and possibly trigger a reboot.

That's the problem, I need to be able to control the reboot, outside of business hours. Or, be able to notify the staff of the outage. So, the the answer is to wait for the next maintenance window since I've set the User Experience to hidden.
