Can Intune be used for computers joined to an on-prem domain without Azure AD?

We have some computers on an on-prem domain and users sign in with local AD accounts.
They have separate accounts in Azure that are not connected to nor synced from their local AD.
So their local AD for example would be user@localonprem.ad.site.com, and they have a separate cloud mastered account called user.name@publicdomain.com.
Could they login to their on-prem AD computer with the localonprem account and then enroll their computer into Intune using their Azure AD account (publicdomain address)?

Yes, technically it is possible. But I would recommened to use 1 identity provider for easy management.

You can follow this article which explains how to enroll with an Azure AD account in Intune:

@John Q , Yes, we can choose BYOD enrollment. The device will be Azure AD registered. Here is an article for the reference:

    Hope it can help.
