Cant recover my Authenticator

I recently upgraded my phone to the 13 pro max and my authenticator didn’t carry over and so I can’t get back on it to recover it. I’m unable to login to some of my investments needing the authenticator. I was able to sign in using the email associated to the account but it won’t display any of the codes?

    Hi @Esad Cisija ,

you should try to recover the account credentials: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/back-up-and-recover-account-credentials-in-the-authenticator-app-bb939936-7a8d-4e88-bc43-49bc1a700a40

It worked for me the way described in the link -> Backup the account credentials on the old device and restore/recover on the new device.

My issue is im unable to back it up on the old device because its been reset and traded in for the upgrade. When I looked at my account info it shows that I last signed in using this account but yet I still cant access anything.

    Hi @Esad Cisija ,

you should create the backup first .... before resetting the old device ;-) Otherwise it's impossible to restore the account credentials.
You best option is to get in contact with the support of the "platform" you need the MFA for login and let them reset your account to create a new credential in the "new" Authenticator app.
