Hi!
I'm facing issues with internet connection on my Windows-10 enabled Dell laptop.

So the problem is- whenever I turn on my laptop, the wifi option is missing. Every time, I run the Network troubleshooter, it fixes the problem and wifi option comes back. However, after 3 minutes of connecting to the internet, windows starts updating(which I should mention, takes FOREVER), and then it restarts after about 20 minutes or so. It works fine for some time after restarting but when I'm done with work and shut down windows, and open it the next day or later the same day, the same problem of missing wifi option occurs and whole cycle of Troubleshooting, Fixing, Updating, and Restarting, happens all over again, every day.

This problem is quite comprehensive and annoying ofcourse, and I hope someone is able to help me fix this permanently.

    Hi NomaZareen,
Please specify the version and build of Windows 10 and what is your Firewall / Antivirus in use.
If you have not already done so, update the wireless network adapter driver by downloading and installing the latest version available from the Dell website.

    Hello @Noma Zareen

It seems that there may be some sort of corruption on the system. I would recommend first of all to run a repair of the Windows image:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/repair-a-windows-image?view=windows-11

If the updates continue failing I would recommend to Reset manually the windows update components, from a elevated command prompt, following the commands in the next guide:
    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/windows-update-resources

As per the wireless network, if still fails after previous actions, the recommendation would be to reinstall the device and latest drivers from Device Manager.

Hope this helps with your query,
