Sharepoint 2019 Hybrid profile redirection working....almost.

SP2019 with Hybrid Onedrive configured.

Windows authentication with Kerberos.

Userprofiles in SP2019 have accountname in the DOMAIN\username format, as it should with the above configuration.

When I click from the Onedrive-button (<- Link URL: https://domain-my.sharepoint.com/_layouts/15/MySite.aspx?MySiteRedirect=AllDocuments&Source=SP2016) I am redirected to SP Online and prompted for credentials so I pass my M365 credentials as UPN / password and access my Onedrive in the cloud. *Dunno what the hell Source=SP2016 means at the end of the url...

When I click to my profile from the top right corner menu (<- Link URL: https://domain-my.sharepoint.com/person.aspx) I am redirected to SP Online and prompted for credentials so I pass my M365 credentials as UPN / password and access my Delve page in the cloud.

But then...

When I search a person in SP2019 and I click the person from the results (<- Link URL: https://domain-my.sharepoint.com/Person.aspx?accountname=DOMAIN\username) I am redirected to SP Online and prompted for credentials so I pass my M365 credentials as UPN / password, but I will see an error that the user "DOMAIN\username" cannot be found.

Well of course it doesn't find it because all profiles in M365 are identified by the UPN and not the samaccountname. How I could overcome this problem?

    Hello anonymous user ,

    In my test, I did not get an error that the user "DOMAIN\username" cannot be found.

    You need to config the Onedrive client via registry/gpo before it can work in a Hybrid solution.
