I have set up Windows 10 to allow only specific USB flash drives (Currently 2 different brands). Given the nature of what we do I want to be establish a 'read only' for one of the brands. This will assist in complying with physical security doctrine.
The purpose of this is the PCs are standalone and local therefor quarantined (no WAN/LAN). The USB drives I want read only will allow data transfer from other systems without the possibility of sensitive data leaking out.
I could simply just enable write protect on all USBs but we still need to maintain USB data transfer capability to identical PCs of similar security principles.
