Outlook wont start due to profile loading issues, how do I correct this?

I have outlook, part of the 365 group, likely the latest version, considering I just updated Office today. Anyway, Just this past week, I noticed my outlook not starting due to the first account possibly having been removed from exchange. To give some background, I graduated from EWU over 2 years ago, and my email through there became unusable to this past september, but outlook was working fine, I'd added a new email and didnt bother to remove the old now defunct email. How would I go about removing the defunct email from the profile?

I've already tried the scanpst way, That didn't work.

Is there a particular folder or file I need to go into to sort out the login stuff for outlook? where could I find that info?

I mean, I do realize I could remove by redoing windows, but thats not something I really want to do at this point. So wanting to try the above option at this point. I use the connectivity tag, because that's the closest I can discern to the issue.

Thanks for your assistance.

    Hi @David c ,

From your description, you are having issue starting the Outlook client because of a defunct email account in the profile, right? If this is the case, please try following the steps below to delete the invalid account via Control Panel:

    1. Select the Windows icon at the lower left corner, type Control Panel in the search box and select it.
    2. In Control Panel, view by Large Icons, search Mail, and select it.

    3. Choose Email accounts:

    4. Assuming the defunct email is listed at the top which means it's the default account, choose the other email account listed, click Set as Default to move it to the top, then select the account you want to delete, click Remove :

In case the issue persists, it's recommended to create a new Outlook profile and add the new email into it, then set Outlook to always start using the new profile. For detailed instructions, you can refer to the "Create a new profile" and "Configure Outlook to always use the same profile" section in the document below:
    Overview of Outlook e-mail profiles

By the way, since the office-exchange-server-connectivity tag is for connectivity questions related to Exchange server, while your issue is more related to the Outlook client, so I'll add the outlook tag under the thread. Thanks for your understanding.
