Per documentation - "Azure File Sync has a cloud change enumeration job that runs every 24 hours to detect changes made directly in the Azure file share"

Is there any way to change scan frequency to more than 24 hours or to stop it completely?

We have a large number of files and folders and those daily scans cost us fortune.

@aaapad Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum, Thank you for posting your query here!

You cannot stop the daily scan

Additional information: If the customer wants to run the share scan more frequently, they can use the Invoke-AzStorageSyncChangeDetection cmdlet: Invoke-AzStorageSyncChangeDetection (Az.StorageSync) | Microsoft Learn
