Invitation Link does not initiate Skype Desktop App

Question

We received a Skype meeting invitation
https://lync.organization.com/company/meet/user.name/MEETGID

The inviter organization is using Skype for Business On Premise.
We are using Skype for Business Online (Microsoft 365).
We have federation.

Usually click on this kind of Link will open web browser and then initiate open of Skype for Business Desktop App.

But It now ended up just on the webpage.

After contacted their IT, and several testing:

1. If the invitation is received in Outlook Calendar (being the person that get invitation by calendar), Click on the Join Skype Meeting Icon (at toolbar) or Click on Meeting Subject at Skype Desktop App Calendar will open meeting in Skype App.
2. But click the link that was appeared at bottom, like: Join Skype Meeting and Hyperlink: https://lync.organization.com/company/meet/user.name/MEETGID will end up in Lync Web App Page.
   3. If not cross party hyperlink, it can initiate to open Skype Desktop App.
      (Their side click their link, will initiate open Skype Desktop App, though our side failed).

The Join Skype Meeting by hyperlink is needed because the invitation is forwarded to other person not received the invitation at first time thru the Outlook Calendar Invitation. (This person join through the Hyperlink only)

Could you provide us a screenshot about ending up on webpage?

When the user joins the meeting from the hyperlink, can he join with no problem with Skype web app?

As a workaround, the organizer or participant can invite other person when they in the Skype meeting. It will call the person from the desktop client.
