Hello,
I hope you can help me. Everytime I open a chat I am getting the pop up Titled "Send a Loop component", I click got it and it disappears, however if I navigate away from the chat it pops up on that chat and if I navigate back to the first/original chat it pops up again. It is very annoying. I can't find anything in the settings that stops it.
I clicked through each chat window I have clicking "I got it" in the hope that maybe one of them was holding the pop up flag and going through them would unflag it but to no avail. I have also uninstalled it and re-installed it.
I am running Teams on Ubuntu 18.04. I downloaded the Teams app from the microsoft site. It is called Microsoft Teams - Insiders. The version is 1.4.00.26453. My company has office365.
The same doesn't happen when I run it from the browser. I know the simple thing is to run it from the browser but I like having the separate tile for teams rather than having to search through browsers and tabs to find teams.

Based on your description, I tried checking in my Teams(1.4.00.26453) but on Ubuntu 20.04 and it works fine, there's no continuously pop up for the Loop component app.
Then I tried searching around, but so far haven't seen similar reports about this issue.
Did this issue start right after the Loop component app appeared in your Teams client?
Do you perhaps have any other colleagues who are also running Teams on Ubuntu 18.04 and do they have the same issue on their ends?
I believe it started after the loop component was added to my Teams client. My colleague is also experiencing the issue. My other colleagues use the online version. I have uninstalled the application and re-installed it to no avail.

@Ó Néill, Brian I know you have tried to reinstall, but it will keep some config still, and I think it could be some config mix-up. Can you try to quit (fully) Teams client and clear this folder ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft Teams/?
Note, it will remove whole cache, so you may experience slower load time next time you run it and you will have to sign in again.
Actually, I just noticed you have insiders version, so folder would be ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft Teams - Insiders/

Thanks for the information Marian. It worked. On my machine the folder was ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft Teams
I deleted it after shutting down teams but it didn't work. I then uninstalled the application deleted ~/.config/Microsoft/Microsoft Teams , rebooted the machine and re-installed the application. The loop component is no longer present and I'm not getting the notification. The loop component is a good feature but not good enough to put up the pop up.
Actually I spoke too soon. The loop component is now back on the app and it's continually looping :(
Another user on the community chat I created on this issue has also reported the issue.

@Ó Néill, Brian This feature is still not fully rolled out, so I have a reason to believe that you are in some early adopters channel. That means you should also be able to report the problem. Do you have this UI in bottom left corner? If so, could you please report a problem and let me know here once you do that? Thank you

I've gone through my emails there and I can't see anything from Microsoft. I included a screenshot when I added the report from the pop out you suggested. I'll report it again and if something comes through this time.

I got an email today entitled "Update from Microsoft TAP-Fenix on your issue: #2241801". I assume the reference number for the the problem I raised is 2241801. In the mail it said it was being closed as a duplicate as the issue was already being worked on. Unfortunately they didn't share the originating reference number.
