I have very few policies setup. After running through Autopilot the system goes to a black screen. The mouse moves but nothing else. I have to power the system off and on to get in. Has anyone else experienced this?

@ComputerHabit , Research and find some customers mentioned that it can be with the configuration profile "Interactive logon: Message text for users attempting to log on" and "Interactive logon: Message title for users attempting to log on". Could you check if we have set the profile in our environment?

Meanwhile, I notice it seems the login with the Azure Ad credential is failed. Here we suggest to check if the device exists in Azure Active Directory portal. What is the type? Is it Azure AD joined or Azure AD registered?

Please check the above information and if there's any update, feel free to let us know.

One hint may be that I got prompted after I power off and on the system for authentication. Like it couldn't use the existing creds used during Autopilot logon.

Did we ever find a resolution to this? I'm experiencing the same thing. I have to hard boot it to bring it back to life.
