DOTNET Maui playing audio

I've been trying to find how to play audio files to the user in Maui, I've tried several solutions and none have worked for me. Currently I'm developing for windows.

What did you try and in what way did it not work? Can you please edit your question to provide more details?

MAUI doesn't have a cross-platform media element, so you'll need to write platform specific code to call the native media stacks or use an external control. This may be slightly different for different uses (sound effects vs music files with transport controls, etc) so please include that in your question.

The MAUI Community Toolkit doesn't yet have the Xamarin Community Toolkit's MediaElement. See https://github.com/CommunityToolkit/Maui/issues/113 . For Android or iOS you may be able to use XCT's MediaElement with XTC's Maui Compat mode, but since Compat mode really only intended for porting existing Xamarin apps it doesn't target MAUI's new Windows (WinUI) target..
