201905-dism-log.txt

Hello,

Been circling back to this issue for a while now and would like to get to the bottom of it.

It started with Monthly Cumulative Updates Failing with Error 0x800F0982

After some troubleshooting I think I've actually made the issue worse and now the update is failing with Error 0x800f080d

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth is also now failing with the same error, which leads me to believe I've made things worse.

PS C:\Windows\system32> dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 10.0.17763.1697

Image Version: 10.0.17763.2628

[==========================100.0%==========================]

Error: 0x800f080d

DISM failed.

No operation was performed.

For more information, review the log file.

The DISM log file can be found at C:\Windows\Logs\DISM\dism.log PS C:\Windows\system32>

Not sure where to go from here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @cwisemanEH ,

You could download and install a missing update manually by using the Microsoft Update Catalog.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having issues related to DISM error 0x800F0982.

I would recommend you to generate the WindowsUpdate.Log with the cmdlet Get-WindowsUpdateLog. This log can help you understand what is the issue behind the final error result.
