Hi everyone,

Since a couple of days ago, I get this error when I open my Microsoft Teams application. I haven't been able to use the Teams desktop app and been using the Web client since then.

And this ONLY happens with the Teams desktop app. All other Office apps - Outlook/Excel/Word and OneDrive work fine. I can login as well.

I have tried rebooting the laptop a few times.
Updating Windows 10 ( currently at 21H2)
Updating my laptop device drivers (using Lenovo Vantage app)
Downloaded and Reinstalled Teams app.

I have a company computer as well. Domain joined.

Can someone please help me to fix this as soon as possible?

Thank in advance!

    Hi @PM006 ,

As mentioned in the link shared above by ricardosolisvillegas, it's recommended to try renaming or clearing the contend inside the .AAD.BrokerPlugin folder after back up and see if the error can be stopped:
(Note: You might need to sign out and sign in with another administrator account for performing these tasks.)

    1. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key +R.
    2. Type the path below and hit Enter.
      C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Packages
    3. Locate a folder named Microsoft.AAD.BrokerPlugin_cw5n1h2txyewy in Packages.

    4. Rename the folder or delete the content inside it after making a backup.

Should the issue persists, I can understand that you have already tried reinstalling the Teams app on your machine, but in case it's due to the local cache which won't get cleared automatically when uninstalling Teams, it's recommended to try following the steps below to clear the Teams client cache and then see if it can help:

    1. Sign out of and quit Teams..
    2. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows logo key +R.
    3. In the Run dialog box, enter %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams, and then select OK.
    4. Delete all files and folders in the %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams directory.
    5. Restart Teams.
