Dual monitors, second monitor settings cannot be changed

I am running Windows 10 and my system updated on 5/21/22. After the update my second monitor shows in the display settings as "Display 2: Wired Display" instead of matching my first monitor like it previously did (Display 1: HP V270). Both monitors are identical and I have been using them for several years. On display 2 all the settings are greyed out and cannot be changed. It is running at 640x480 where display 1 runs at 1920 x 1080. This makes display 2 practically unusable. I run my work computer through the same monitors through a KVM switch. The monitors work perfectly on the work computer. I have attempted bypassing the KVM, and the problem persists. I have changed out all cables, no change. I have went so far as to purchase and install a new video card (AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT), downloading all up to date drivers, didn't fix it. I uninstalled the two Windows updates I found from 5/21/22, the problem is still there. The only thing I can come up with is that it is a windows issue, but I am at a loss as to what else to try.

    Hi JacquieBaker-5572,

In some cases, pressing Windows logo Key + Ctrl + Shift + B may fix your issue. This shortcut alerts the system to a potential graphics issue, which results in Windows restarting your video driver.

If this doesn't resolve the issue can you roll back your windows installation further and see if there was an earlier update that caused the issue, but it was delayed in presenting itself to you?

A shot in the dark, NirSoft has a Multimonitor tool that I have used to configure monitors: https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/multi_monitor_tool.html

Maybe this tool can poke at the bits to fix the issue. It could be some residual in the registry.
