How to turn off AutoFormatting of my XAML on save

I have now read about 50 posts about this and nothing they say is working.
Hey VS 2022 developers ---- why do you make the setting so devoid of easy methods to change them. I really don't know and should have to know the contents of these file as the settings dialogs should allow me to set them like I want. Any of those developers wish to answer????
Oh by the way I had to use the tag I used as there do not seem to be tags for VS

2022-07-01T11:48:56.373+00:00 Thanks for the reply. The problem is not formatting while typing. The problem is that when I save the XAML file it gets reformatted.
I need a method of stopping the reformatting on save.

I create a WPF app and make changes to the XAML, use ctrl+s to save file, and it will not automatically format. Could you share a screen recording? You can try to uncheck Tools->Options->Text Editor->Code Cleanup->Run Code Cleanup profile on Save. -

2022-10-04T14:29:57.61+00:00 Opened the Options dialog. There is no Tools Menu item so everything you wrote has no basis.

Alternately, you can also play with the different options so that it reformats the code as you prefer.
In my case it was not so much the reformatting on save that was bothering me but the fact it didn't do it like I wanted to!

What is your version of Visual Studio? I can't reproduce this issue in Visual Studio 2022 Community 17.2.5.Do you have third-party extensions installed? Please try running /safemode in Developer Command Prompt for VS 2022 to start Visual Studio. This switch loads only the default environment, the default services, and the shipped versions of third-party packages.
If the issue still exists, could you share a sample program or screen recording?

2022-10-04T14:33:18.08+00:00 The problem is now with 17.3.5 but has been here for a long time. The worst thing about this is I spent so much time trying to find out how it gets done and then when I saw I did not like the format it uses.
Now with at least 17.3.5 if I use the Edit/Advanced/Format Document nothing happens.
I now spend more time trying to figure out what VS has done to me than actually working on project.

2022-10-05T14:09:07.447+00:00 Ok I have more info. When I am debugging I often don't manually save the files. I count on VS to save the files before building etc.
So when I save the file manually it reformats the XAML. When I just execute and VS does a "background" save it does not.
