Hi,

I have a SCOM 2012 server in another domain A which have a 2-ways trust with our domain B. All servers in domain B connect with the SCOM 2012 Server by using the gateway server

The domain A will be removed so I will setup a new SCOM 2016/2019 server in domain B to replace this old SCOM 2012 server. Is it possible to migrate the configuration, overrides and MP from old server to new server?

What is the easy way to reinstall all agents in our Windows and Linux servers?

Thanks

Best Regards
Chong

If you decide to deploy SCOM 2016 on the new server, you could do the following : first install it as a SCOM 2012 server in the current management group so it gets all the config/MPs/overrides than the old one, then run an in-place update to SCOM 2016, then remove the old server.
But upgrading to SCOM 2016 when SCOM 2022 already has been released is a bit weird, and if you decide to upgrade to SCOM 2019 or 2022 you will have to do it as a regular side by side migration, which means quite a bit of planning and manual work to get back to the previous configuration/MPs/overrides
