Hello,

  1. there is a on-prem Exchange 2019 with latest CU and some Windows 10 PCs with Office 365 Office Apps.
  2. there are 10 Users and everybode has full-access via to five "shared Mailboxes"
  3. everybode has also Fullaccess to each other user-mailbox
  4. if the Users start their Outlook and wait 1-3 minutes the "shared and users mailboxes suddenly disapear on the left in outlook
  5. only the own mailbox keep staying on the left in the outlook
  6. the mailboxes are installed via automapping in outlook (meaning just gave full-access in ECP)

I tried this steps:

a) Add-MailboxPermission -Identity "shared-mailbox" -User user-licenced-mailbox -AccessRights FullAccess
b) disable outlook cache mode
c) adding shared mailboxes manually
e) show not all mail, show only lst 3 months..
d) installing latest office updates was done

I doesn´t tried disabling automapping (of the shared folders)

Did you ever heard of such problem?

Thx + Best Regards

    Hi @Matrix-Matrix-Matrix ,

Have you tried to remove users from the shared mailbox and then add permissions back?

Remove-MailboxPermission -Identity mailbox@keyman .com -User john@keyman .com -AccessRights FullAccess

Add-MailboxPermission -Identity mailbox@keyman .com -User john@keyman .com -AccessRights FullAccess -AutoMapping:$true

    Hi @Matrix-Matrix-Matrix ,
You're saying that the outlook client you're using, every time you start it, there's a shared mailbox on the left side of outlook, and after a while it disappears on its own, right? I did not have such an issue in my tests, and the shared mailbox is always on the left side of my outlook.
As @T. Kujala said, have you tried it, and has it worked? After my search, you can try creating a new profile or boot using Safe Mode. For ways to create a new outlook profile you can refer to this link:

If none of the above methods work, you can add shared mailboxes in outlook manually without using automapping.
