Azure Datbricks consuming lot of cost even during a terminated stage

Hi All,

I have the "Pay-As-You-Go" subscription and I am in the process of exploring Azure Databricks. I have a workspace launched and I use it for 2 - 3 hours daily after which I terminate the cluster in the databricks workspace.

However, I see a daily billing increase and also see virtual machine cost being increased. When I check all the resources there are no virtual machines when the databricks cluster is terminated.

Any idea why the billing increases? Any best practices to avoid billing cost when the databricks workspace not in use?

Regards,
Sriram

    Hello @Sriram Natesan ,

Thanks for the question and using MS Q&A platform.

As I understand you've an issue with your billing.

I recommend you to create a billing support ticket which is free of cost. The ticket enables you to work closely with the support engineers and get a quick resolution to your issue.
