IIS 10, Server 2022 and PHP 7.5 - how to configure caching? IIS output cache

I've got a php (version 7.5) on IIS 10 on a server 2022.

It is so slow its painful.

Microsoft refers to using Wincache and IIS 7 etc, but it is unsupported on php 7.5.
I've already got opcache running.

So how do I configure the output cache on IIS 10 because it seems to have got worse when we moved to server 2022, it wasn't too bad on server 2012 but the newer server just seems to have killed it.

I have some questions about your description. What a bad situation when you move to server 2022? What does it mean that the newer server seems to have killed it? And what troubles are you having with configuring output caching on IIS 10?

@Heather Peake WinCache is not maintained anymore and avoid using it (https://pecl.php.net/package/wincache). Also I think you miss difference between PHP OPcache and Caching in IIS.

Everything got so slow that we are waiting minutes not seconds for pages to load. The suggestion was to put caching on.
I notice that IIS has an output cache. I was hoping if I found instructions for how to configure it I might find information on what it is supposed to do for us.
I have a slow site on php7.4 and IIS 10. I was trying to find some sort of easy to configure caching.
