Updating to 1809

Hello!

Some workstations I am in charge of are still on 1803, for hardware compatibility reasons.  We have peripheral hardware that will cause a BSOD in 1903 and higher, so we've been holding off upgrading.  We currently don't have a WSUS server, but I am planning on spinning one up soon.  I'd like to get them upgraded to 1809 in the meantime.

I've tried using an MCT called MCT1809, but it just updates the workstation to 1909.

1.Is there an MCT (or another way) to update these workstations to 1809 without having to do a clean install?

2.When we do get our WSUS up and going, will it be able to pull down past feature updates, not just the most recent?

Thank you!

    Hi,

Welcome to our new Microsoft Q&A Platform.

    >>Is there an MCT (or another way) to update these workstations to 1809 without having to do a clean install?

There is no MCT that could download 1809 iso for upgrade now. What you need to do is to find out a 1809 iso for in-place upgrade.

You can download the package using the following link:

    >>When we do get our WSUS up and going, will it be able to pull down past feature updates, not just the most recent?

In my experience, the answer is: yes. But I still recommend you to ask the WSUS forum as they will be more professional on your issue.
