ERROR 45

Question

I have an amd card (rx 570x) and recently my card stopped working i have found out that the reason is do to my card not being detected from windows device manager from code 45 and i tried everything on youtube pls help

Error 45 means "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer".

This problem is usually caused by a hardware issue, the problem could be on the connection between the graphics card and the motherboard or a problem in the graphics card itself. The first thing that you can try is to disconnect the graphics card from the motherboard and reconnect it to check if it fixes the problem.

Another possible cause for the problem is an outdated version of Bios, go to your motherboard manufacturer's website and make sure you are using the latest version of the Bios.

If you don't know if you are using the latest version of Bios or cannot find the correct Bios version on the manufacturer's website, provide the full model of your laptop and a screenshot of the system information and I'll be glad to help you find it.

1-Right-click on Start then click on Run

2-Type: msinfo32 and click on OK

i have deleted my card and now i can not get it back , i had this issue before and also yesterday but i fixed it and it got back after i changed from tv to a small monitor

If you deleted the graphics card on the Device Manager, you can use the option "Scan for hardware changes" to enable your graphics card again.

1-Right-click on Start then click on Device Manager

2-Right-click on your computer name select "Scan for hardware changes" and check if your graphics card is recognized again

If the problem persists, please provide more details about what you did before the graphics card was missing. Were you having problems before the deletion of the graphics card? Why did you need to delete the graphics card?

Yeah , the issue was when I changed monitors it apparently made my card not working, it was there but it was a hidden device, so I couldn’t use it and i deleted it so my amd app can detect it but it couldn’t, and my computer couldn’t too bc apparently it’s not connected, my card is working properly but it still say it’s not connected or something , this is the second time i face this issue but I forgot how I fixed it the first time

It is probably a connection issue. Did you try to disconnect the graphics card from the motherboard and re-connect it?
