Approval and Compliance Process for Custom AI Avatars in Azure

We are currently working on integrating AI avatars within our solution. While Azure provides default avatars, we are also building a custom AI-generated avatar (fully created using AI).

 

Before proceeding, we would like clarification on the following points:

 

1. Do AI-generated avatars require explicit consent from a real person (e.g., a video concept agreement), even if the avatar is entirely synthetic and not based on an actual individual?
2. Are there any restrictions or compliance requirements in Azure AI Services when using fully AI-generated avatars?
3. Could there be any possibility of rejection from Azure’s side if we upload/use AI-generated avatars without a real person’s consent?
4. What is the recommended process or documentation to ensure compliance when working with custom AI avatars?

 

We want to make sure we are fully aligned with Azure’s policies and avoid any issues during production deployment.
