You cannot migrate a user profile to another profile, they do not provide any method in Windows to do that, and all settings for that account would have been synced to the now inaccessible school profile online, the only thing you can do is copy all files from one account into another account.
Windows 11 - Lost access to my school account
Hi, I recently discovered, that I am no longer able to access my school account on my personal PC with Education edition. I have everything on it, because I was told, that after graduation nothing would change. Is there a way to transfer whole profile to a new one (truly local profile), and probably downgrade to windows Pro?

2024-12-01T11:23:13+00:00 I created temporary new local admin profile, that's how I got into windows.
Yes, there is option to disconnect the school account. I am just afraid to disconnect, I am not sure, what I would loose with that.
Yes I can access those files, I want to move them, but I don't know, if there is anything else (like registrr or other file) to edit, so that I can migrate the account to another profile.

If you cannot log into that account, that is because your school have closed that account, you seem to be able to get into Windows to see the school account listed in 'Access Work and School' is that on another user account on your PC?
In 'Access Work and School', can you disconnect the school account.

From your description of the problem, if you cannot sign into the school account on the PC, then can you access that user profile folder inside C:\Users in File Explorer to get the files from that user account?

2024-12-01T11:02:47+00:00 I should specify, that I can't login to that profile, it says: "You can't sign in with this account. Try a different account". But I am sure, it was school account.
Yes, the account is listed in Access Work or School.
No, the Education edition was only version ever installed on this device.

When you leave school, they will close your account after some time, they usually give you some time to backup your files first before the account is closed.
1
Open the Settings App, then go to Accounts - Your Info, on that page, is it indicated you log into Windows with a personal account or the school account?
2
In the Settings App, go to Accounts - Access Work or School, is the school account listed there?
3
To go from the Education version of Windows to the Pro version would require a full clean install of Windows from a bootable USB, was the Pro version of Windows originally installed on your PC before the school provided you with the Education version?
