How do I reinstall Windows 10 and keep the serial number (SN) and model information to add to the new installation?

I have an Acer laptop running Windows 10 Home on 32bit. I want to reinstall the 64 bit version (even Pro version if possible) but at the same time to keep the device information like model, serial number etc. I was not able to find where this information is stored and how to extract it to add it to a new fresh non OEM installation.

That folder is created by Acer when they installed the disk image.

Right click the OEMInformation key (folder) in the registry and export that out as a reg file.

Copy that Acer logo image file and then safe it and the registry file for safe keeping while you re-install Windows, then right click the Reg file and select 'Merge' and confirm the merge, then copy the Acer logo file into the new installation and in the OEMInformation key you can set the location of that Acer logo file.

I am Dave, I will help you with this.

All that Model information is embedded in the Windows mage that Acer use to install the original OEM version of Windows, that information will not appear in a standard Windows installation

Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.

Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on.

Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\OEMInformation

In the right hand pane, is the Model No...etc. information stored in there by Acer?

If it is, in the left pane, right click the OEMInformation key (folder) and select the option to export out that key, then keep that safe and after your re-instal Windows, right click that Reg file and merge it with your registry.

I am not concerned with the Windows activation. I simply wish that the Laptops model/details/etc are displayed and visible in the system info and also recognized by acer update/driver app to install related drivers and apps.

I can see now it has a logo pointing to an OEM folder. Any Idea if this came with the Win installation or an Acer application created it?
Should i mabe back-up this as well and copy to the new installation?

Seriove cislo a model se normalne nacte z BIOSu. Nesouvisi s Window.Neni treba je ukladat extra. Zjistis napr. prikazem

Jaky mas vlaste problem / co chces resit? Pokud byly na pocitaci aktivovane Win 10 NEBO je v BIOSu predaktivovano, proste nainstaluj Win 10 a aktivace se obnovi behem instalace nebo po pripojeni k Internetu.
