Poznámky
Tato metoda slouží k určení stáří objektu a následné použití těchto informací s metodou Collect k vynucení uvolňování paměti ke shromažďování objektů ve stejné generaci. Tuto metodu použijte například v případě, že máte sadu objektů, které jsou vytvořeny jako skupina a které jsou nepřístupné současně.
Počínaje .NET 8 může tato metoda vrátit MaxValue pro objekty přidělené haldám bez GC. Další informace naleznete v tématu GC. Funkce GetGeneration může vrátit hodnotu Int32.MaxValue.

Počínaje .NET 8 může tato metoda vrátit MaxValue pro objekty přidělené haldám bez GC. Další informace naleznete v tématu GC. Funkce GetGeneration může vrátit hodnotu Int32.MaxValue.
