Následující příklad kódu ukazuje, jak přizpůsobit ovládací prvek pomocí výkresu TreeView vlastníka. Ovládací TreeView prvek v příkladu zobrazuje volitelné značky uzlů společně se standardními popisky uzlů. Značky uzlů se zadají pomocí TreeNode.Tag vlastnosti . Tato událost slouží k přizpůsobení vzhledu uzlů v ovládacím prvku pomocí výkresu TreeView vlastníka.

Tato událost je vyvolána pouze v případě, že DrawMode je vlastnost nastavena na TreeViewDrawMode hodnoty nebo OwnerDrawAllOwnerDrawText. V následující tabulce je uvedeno, jak TreeNode lze přizpůsobit DrawMode vlastnost na tyto hodnoty.

Tato oblast se nazývá oblast testu dostupnosti. Pokud kreslíte mimo tuto oblast, měli byste zadat vlastní kód, který vybere uzel, když kliknete na jeho viditelnou oblast.

Oblast testu dostupnosti odpovídá DrawTreeNodeEventArgs.Bounds vlastnosti při použití OwnerDrawText. Při použití OwnerDrawAllDrawTreeNodeEventArgs.Bounds však vlastnost zahrnuje celou šířku objektu TreeView.
