Microsoft Entra ID tenant still displays old company information after Microsoft 365 tenant migration
Environment
Microsoft 365 Business
Microsoft Entra ID
Microsoft 365 Admin Center
Microsoft Authenticator
Windows 11
Tenant migration performed by Microsoft Support
Problem
Microsoft Support migrated my Microsoft 365 environment from my previous company to a newly established company.
Unfortunately, the migration appears to be incomplete.
Although my domain, users, mailboxes and Microsoft 365 services are working correctly, my Microsoft Entra ID environment still references information from the previous company in several places.
This causes several issues:
The Entra environment still appears to belong to the previous company.
I continue to receive security and authentication prompts that seem to reference the old configuration.
Some Microsoft services still appear to use information from the previous tenant.
I would like to completely remove every reference to the previous company because it no longer exists.
What I have already checked
The domain migration has been completed.
Microsoft 365 services are working correctly.
User accounts are working correctly.
Authentication methods have been reviewed.
The previous company is no longer in use.
The migration itself was performed by Microsoft Support.
Additional question regarding the migration
One additional question concerns responsibility for the migration itself.
Since the migration was planned and performed by Microsoft Support, I would assume that Microsoft Support is responsible for ensuring that the migration is completed successfully and that all tenant configuration is transferred correctly.
If the migration is indeed incomplete, is there anything the customer is expected to do after Microsoft has completed the migration, or should Microsoft Support complete the remaining migration tasks?
At the moment, it is difficult for me to determine whether this is a configuration issue on my side or whether the migration itself was not fully completed.
Questions
Is there a supported way to completely update or clean up a Microsoft Entra ID tenant after a Microsoft-performed migration?
Could this behavior indicate that the migration was not completed successfully?
Which tenant settings or objects should I verify?
Tenant display name
Organization profile
Initial *.onmicrosoft.com domain
Company information
Microsoft Entra configuration
Any other tenant-related objects
Has anyone experienced a similar issue after a Microsoft-performed tenant migration?
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
