OT: Anyone know how to remove or disable the Facebook Timeline feature?

All the references I can find refer to the developer preview, not the released version - I have a friend that can't possibly edit their history in 7 days, and feels like the Timeline is a countdown to armageddon.

    You cannot restore facebook to its old version, it is a compulsory change made you have to use the new one now.
