I am working for Backup and restore of Azure kubernetes services Disks (persistent volumes) for DR scenario.

The thing is I am able to Backup AKS PVs and restore them in same availability zone by using Velero.

but considering the DR scenario - if one availability zone crashes then we need to restore AKS PVs in another AZ and able to attach them to AKS pods.

please suggest the way how to achieve this DR scenario using Velero.

Thank you. Happy to provide more details if needed.

@Pranitha Jupalli I am afraid to provide any insight Velero (since it's thirds party application) and more over we don't have any expertise on Velero.
However let me share some insight We may refer to this article for a replication scenario that can be implemented across regions
We have a concept of Paired regions as well where the same data is replicated across the 2 regions which you choose : https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/best-practices-availability-paired-regions

Kindly let us know if you need further assistance on this issue.
