The recovery form supplied by Microsoft is of no help, I keep getting the unsuccessful message. Is anyone able to assist please.

    Hi,

If you received a message saying your account has been locked when signing in, it could be due to activity that may go against Microsoft's Terms of Use. This is typically a security measure to protect your information.

To regain access, please visit the support article below, click the "Sign in" button, and follow the steps provided. Be sure to review the tips included in the article, as they can help improve your chances of successfully recovering your account.

Unfortunately, if all the basic steps fail, your only option is to use the account recovery form. The information you provide should match your account to verify your identity and recover it.

Microsoft takes account security seriously, so recovery is fully automated. Even Support cannot directly unlock your account and will ask you to fill out the form.

If you have already used the account recovery form and received a reply stating that the information provided was insufficient, you will need to fill out the form again with any new information you remember. Please note that you can submit the form up to two times per day until you recover your account.

    Helpful Tips:

    ● Include contacts, subject lines of past emails, or any services you used (like Skype or Xbox).

    ● Complete the form using a device and location you’ve previously used to sign in.

    ● The more accurate info you provide, the better your chances of success.

If you're still unsuccessful after several attempts, please refer to the 'Account recovery unsuccessful' page.
