Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.
To narrow this down, the first thing I’d suggest is a simple test:
- Ask someone to send you a test email, ideally from another Outlook/Hotmail account
- If possible, also try from a non-Microsoft email (like Gmail or Yahoo)
- Check whether the message arrives, goes to Spam/Junk, or if the sender gets any bounce-back or error message
If none of the test emails arrive and there’s no bounce-back, that usually points to a server-side issue rather than something on your device.
A few other things worth checking, just in case:
- Sign in to Outlook web https://outlook.live.com/mail and check Junk, Deleted, and Other folders
- Go to Settings > Mail > Sync email and confirm your inbox is enabled and syncing normally
- Under Settings > Mail > Rules, double-check there are no hidden or disabled rules
- If this is a Microsoft account, visit https://account.microsoft.com > Security > Review activity to make sure the account isn’t still restricted after the hack.
Let me know what you find and we can continue from there.
