Hi ,

I have noticed the Exam AI-102: Designing and Implementing a Microsoft Azure AI Solution is retiring on 30th June 2026.

I had planned to appear for this exam on 7th June.

Could you please suggest if there is any replacement exam for this certification. I noticed AI-103 is replacement for AI-102.

Can I appear the exam of AI-103 instead of AI-102 in same scheduling.

Thanks.

This change was announced on https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/blog/skills-hub-blog/the-ai-job-boom-is-here-are-you-ready-to-showcase-your-skills/4494128

If you have prepared for AI-102 then take that exam, AI-103 is a very different exam for which you need to prepare for separately

Exam AI-102 and the associated certification “Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate” are scheduled to retire on June 30, 2026.

    The context provided lists:

    • AI-102 as an eligible exam in current offers.
    • AI-102 and its certification as scheduled to retire on June 30, 2026.
    • AI-102T00 (course) being replaced by AI-103T00 (course), but this is courseware, not an exam.

There is no information in the context about an AI-103 certification exam or about AI-103 being an official replacement exam for AI-102. The only clearly stated replacement is at the course level (AI-102T00 → AI-103T00), not at the exam level.

Because of that, the context does not support:

    • Confirming AI-103 as a replacement certification exam for AI-102.
    • Confirming that an existing AI-102 booking can be switched to AI-103 “in the same scheduling.”

To change an existing exam appointment (for example, to a different exam), the documented path is to manage the booking through the standard scheduling/rescheduling process and follow the reschedule and cancellation policy. If the desired exam is different from the one originally scheduled, it must be selected explicitly during scheduling.
