This article describes a by design behavior that the rate field is missing in Time Card with Rate amount (TM.TEA.00) and Project Timesheet with Rate Amount (TM.PTA.00) in Microsoft Dynamics SL.

Symptoms

You notice that there is not a rate field to available to input a rate when entering a Timecard in either Time Card with Rate amount (TM.TEA.00) or Project Timesheet with Rate Amount Entry (TM.PTA.00)

Cause

Then project employee ID used to enter time is a salaried employee and their rate will not be shown in these screens.

Status

This issue is by design.
