Hi,

on some computers in my company Excel sometimes closes and reopens without presenting any error messages. Sometimes changes to the file are preserved and sometimes they are lost.

Our Excel is part of Microsoft 365 Business standard.

These computers are joined to an active directory managed by a Windows Server 2022 Standard.

I've tried evrything, Office recovery, Office reinstall... and also Windows reinstall. Without success.

This error appears in the Windows application log when Excel crashes (italian OS):

    Hi,

Where did you save the files? In local or network?

Did this problem appear in all Excel files?

Did you have installed any third-add ins in Office?

I suggest you open it in safe mode running the following command: Press Win + R, type "excel /safe" in the blank box, press Enter. If it works fine in safe mode, please check the add-ins in your excel and disable them.

Click File > Excel Options > Add-Ins on the left side of the dialog. Then click the drop-down arrow at the bottom of the dialog box and select "COM Add-Ins" from the list, then click the GO button. What comes up is a list of COM-Add Ins that are loaded and running.

Do you use anti-virus software or firewalls? Try disabling these.

It is also recommended to try logging in to the administrator account to make sure that the account has access to all files, and then test again. It is also possible that this issue is caused by not having access to the file in question.

Just checking in to see if the information was helpful. Please let us know if you would like further assistance.
