    Hi John,

I would suggest to kindly perform a clean install, as your issue appears to be related to a corrupted installation. Before you do this, it would be best to **back-up your messages**. Then, uninstall Live Mail from your computer using this **Solution article**.

In order to complete a clean install, we need to remove the registry keys associated with the previous Live Mail installation. Before you edit the registry, please make sure to back it up. It is highly recommended that you know how to restore the registry just in case a problem occurs. For information about how to back up, restore, and modify the registry, please read this **article**.

Then, use these steps on how to delete Live Mail’s registry keys:

    1. Open Registry Editor (Click Start on the Search programs and files box, type regedit and then press ENTER to open a Registry Editor window)
    2. Click HKEY_CURRENT_USER, click SOFTWARE, and then click MICROSOFT.  Right click Windows Live Mail and then press Delete to remove the registry key.
    3. Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, click SOFTWARE, and click MICROSOFT.  Right click Windows Live Mail and then press Delete to delete the registry key.
    4. Exit Registry Editor and then restart the computer.

To download Windows Live Mail, kindly refer to this link: **Windows Live Mail 2011**

If you have uninstall your Live Mail, you should re-configure your account into your Live Mail. To learn how to do this, kindly refer to this link:

How to configure a Windows Live Hotmail account in Windows Live Mail

    Thanks,

    Windows Live Elmer A.

Thank you again for the response, but this did not fix my problem.

I had actually uninstalled and reinstalled Live Mail prior to bringing this issue to your attention.  It did not remedy the problem then, but I did try it again.  I uninstalled Windows Live Mail 2011 based on your directions (which by the way, I am using Windows 7 so your directions aren't exactly correct) and then reinstalled.

I get the exact same error messages after reinstalling and rebooting.

One thing that is curious, however, is that all my existing accounts and settings are still in the newly installed Live Mail.  Should that be the case?   Am I not truly uninstalling the program, even though it appears that I am.  Not trying to over complicate this, but wanted you to know that I am not having to set up all three of my email accounts that I use Live Mail for when I reinstall it.

Still confused about this - still want a resolution.  I need my Live Mail working properly!!

Please let me know where to go from here.

    John

Thank you for the quick reply.  I have attached a screen shot of the initial "Failed to initialize shared canvas" error message along with another shot of the JIT Debugger error I get if I click "retry"

    Please advise.

    Thanks

    John
