Automatically update word withing document

How do i set up an automation to find and replace a name of a colleague throughout a document if they are replaced with a new member of staff.

I have created a table at the beginning of the document where I have all the names of my colleagues. I want to set it up so if that name is replaced with a name of a new member of staff it will replace all occurrences of the previous name with the new name throughout the rest of the word document.

    In my opinion, the simplest method would be to use Mapped Content Controls.

    If less than about 11, you could repurpose and use the ones built into Word.

    If more than that, you could create and map your own Content Controls.

    Mapped Content Controls are not the only method, just the latest and IMO the most effective.
