Microsoft Word - Undeletable Text

Hello,

I am editing the basic 'Missing Cat' template in Microsoft Word 365 PC version.

I was trying to delete the graphic on the third page. I was able to remove everything except 'Missing Cat.' I removed the formatting from it so it's just basic text now but I think maybe not. When I delete it - it goes away but comes right back. I've shared the link with full access to the file below. Can someone please take a shot as deleting it or give me guidance on how to delete it and why it was an issue?

FYI you have to actually download a copy and let the third page load and then the undeletable missing cat text appears.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to look.

    David,

On the developer tab, click on the design mode icon, now you will see that there are a few placeholders (content controls as they are called), select and delete them to clear the page. If necessary turn design mode back off.

    Hi David,

Thanks for reaching out here regarding this query.

Are you experiencing this issue on the Ms Word desktop app or on the online platform?

If online, I suggest you make an offline copy and attempt to delete from the desktop app itself.

    Regards, Albert
