I am well used to Access but can't remember what I was looking for and have not completely lost the 'normal' screeen from which I can choose the table or the query etc. All I get now is a long list of queries or headings etc. but not my usual database. How do I return to what I am used. Please can you help me.

Right-click at the top of the navigation pane.

From the context menu, select Category > Object Type.

Right-click again, and select Sort By > Type.

Right-click a third time, and select View By > List.

I would like my navigation pane to look something like this which is much clearer than the one showing in the reply above. Nothing I have seen or read gets me back to square one.

Thank you for your help but unfortunately it didn't solve the problem - although I have now learned about Fll!. The navigation pane does not look as it should. There's minute arrow at the top of it with various choices choices as to what is shown, but I cannot get the normal one back. What is showing now is a list of tables and related views. I've tried everything I can, but obviously not the correct thing.

Can you help me get back to the correct view, please.

Try pressing F11 to display the navigation pane.

If that doesn't work: close the database, and hold down the Shift key while you reopen it.

    Does that help?
