ubject: Unable to Redeem Microsoft Rewards Points for ESU Enrollment on Additional Windows 10 Devices

Hello Microsoft Support,

I successfully enrolled my first Windows 10 device in the Extended Security Updates (ESU) program using the free sync method. I’m now attempting to enroll a second (and potentially third) eligible device using my Microsoft Rewards points, but the enrollment wizard does not present the option to redeem points—it only shows a “Next” button and proceeds without any payment or redemption prompt.

All devices meet the eligibility criteria:
- Running Windows 10 version 22H2
- Fully updated with KB5046613 or newer
- Signed in with the same Microsoft account that holds sufficient Rewards points
- Not joined to AD/AAD or MDM

I would like to use my Rewards points to enroll these additional devices, as outlined in Microsoft’s ESU documentation. Please advise on how I can manually redeem points or trigger the correct enrollment flow.

Thank you for your assistance.

Best regards,

    Hello,

If you're signed in and backed up with Windows Backup, then there's no need for using 1000 rewards points, you just simply push next, and you're enrolled in the ESU.

For the pop up to come up on choosing the method, your PC must not be backed up with Windows Backup, otherwise, the prompt never gets shown because you already meet one of the requirements.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello,

If you open a PowerShell window (as admin) and then copy and paste the following: cmd /c ClipESUConsumer.exe -evaluateEligibility, push enter, and restart, you should see the option to enroll in the ESU in Windows Update.

Let me know how this goes.
