Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Hi Jaswinder,
Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how annoying it is when you're trying to move Office to a new computer and hit Error Code: 30033-44 during setup. Let's sort this out together!
Usually, this error pops up when there's a problem with old Office stuff or something's messing with the install. This can be from bits of older Office installs (even different versions), your antivirus or firewall blocking things, a shaky internet connection, or messed-up system files.
here’s what you can do, based on my knowledge
First, get rid of old installs
Make sure any old Office versions are totally gone. Use the Control Panel or Settings > Apps, and also manually delete any Office folders from C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office or C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office.
Restart your computer
Just restarting can sometimes fix it by clearing up file issues.
Turn off antivirus or firewall for a bit
Sometimes security software blocks parts of the Office install by mistake. Turn off your antivirus temporarily, and then try installing again. Remember to turn it back on later!
Install Office using the offline installer
Download the offline installer from your Microsoft account. Then run it to install without needing a constant internet link.
I hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Noel
