I'm trying to add a sub-domain of onmicrosoft.com when i get Internal Server Error.

That's not supported - you can add a custom domain (that you own and can verify)

That's not true. onmicrosoft.com is Microsoft's domain and is already verified, I don't need to verify anything. And I can add up to 5 of such sub-domains.
Anyways, I'm trying to change the O365 sharepoint site domain by following the steps below...
