Hi @Zhu, Ligong
Does "AutomaticallyUpdateStyles" mean the option on "Templates and Add-ins" as following image shown or the one on "Modify Style"?
Enabling this option updates styles in the current document to match the styles in the template you are currently attaching to. If you don't enable it, Word will ignore the styles in the template (Normal.dotm or VBA template).
When it stopped working, it would switch to "Normal" template instead.
Please go to Developer tab > Document Template
, under "Document template", "Templates" tab, check the template file.
- Under the sense of "Automatically update document styles" enabled, if the document can't find your VBA template, it may update using the styles in the Normal template.
- If it is not the VBA template, you may browse VBA template via clicking "Attach" button, and ensure "Automatically update document styles" is ticked, then click "OK" to have a check.
