Authenticator app won’t show a place for me to put in the number to authenticate myself

Whenever I try to log into my school email it says to open the Authenticator app to put in the number that is showing, however, EVERY TIME I open the app nothing is showing for me to put the number in. I can’t access my student email because of this. What should I do?

    Hello, when did this start happening? Can you try changing the method and use the automatic 30 secs regenerated codes by authenticator while troubleshooting that?
